Our names are Tom and Dawn Horock and we live in
Mooresville, Indiana.
Our interest in English Springer Spaniels has had a very
long past. In 1980, Dawn acquired her first springer, who was called
Mugs and from there it is history. Tom wasn't much of a "dog person"
when he and Dawn first met but obviously that changed too!
Dawn came from a family that began showing Afghan Hounds in
conformation back in the early 60's. I suppose it's no wonder that as
time passed that Dawn wanted to get her own show dog and get into the dog
showing game.
We currently have 4 dogs, which includes a puppy from our first litter born in February 2008.. As we have just begin our small breeding program, we will strive
to breed for temperament, conformation, health and sane pets. We are members of the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial
Association and follow their recommended
breeder guidelines.
While our dogs are shown in conformation, we are hopeful that we will also
start into agility and obedience with our dogs that have completed their
championship.
When Dawn began showing springers, we met so many wonderful
people that were willing to take the time to educate us on how to groom,
learning how to show and the history of English Springer Spaniels.
With the HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) heavily promoting individual states to put legislation in place to prevent breeding dogs period ~ whether you breed one litter or a hundred, Dawn has been involved with various government officials, as well as attending many meetings to try and get reasonable legislation in place in Indiana.

We'd like
to thank Michelle Givens (Angevin, now Wilden Kennels) for selling us our first show dog.
Monica
Bowers (ESSpecial) for Prints and Emmy (and June Goldman (Brookmoor) -
co-breeder, for her support of Emmy), as well as providing many
tireless answers to so many questions.
Robin Novack (Tiffany) Co-breeder on Prints, and for giving us so many pointers on
handling and grooming, as well as finishing Prints for us.
Greta Dalrymple (Stonehenge) for all the help on grooming that Dawn was afraid to try and
of course, the great friendship we have through the dogs.
Randy and Linda Nippe (Linran) for their guidance,
advice and always their friendship with us.
I apologize if there
are others that I haven't acknowledged, but we really appreciate everyone
that we've had the opportunity to get to know and the camaraderie we share.
