Sorry for any inconvenience.

I've been experiencing some website problems and it's just taken some time to get everything back up and running correctly.

Current News     Misc. Items of Interest:

March 3, 2010

If you aren't quite up to the challenge of a puppy and would consider an adult springer that is a retired show dog, please contact me and I can put you in touch with an individual that might have just the springer you are looking for.

If you are looking for a reputable breeder:

Please know that there are English Springer Spaniel breeders that have "show lines" that are breeding to stud dogs as young as 1 or 2 years old.  This is totally against the ESSFTA Recommended Guidelines For Breeders"  There are many reasons for breeding to a "MATURE" dog,  health and temperament are the two main reasons, but you really can't tell how that dog is going to be until he is mature.  You can't even get Hip and Elbow certifications done until they are at least 2 years of age.

So if you run across a breeder doing this, ask them why they would go against recommended guidelines.  Ask them  why the ESSFTA has set those guidelines.

Two of the three boys have went to their new homes.  Simon (was Sammy) is now living with Kelly and her two girls and having a fantastic time.  From the pictures I saw they're going to keep him very busy.  And Winston (was Dean) now lives with Josh and Jen in Chicago!  He's doing very well and getting use to the "city" sounds.  I am so thankful to these two wonderful families for giving these puppies such great homes, love and attention that these little guys deserve.  It means so much to me.  Thanks again, Kelly, Josh and Jen!

Frank is staying here and will be growing up a while.  I'll have more information on him as time passes.  Right now, he's just playing and learning how to be a good boy!

We have PUPPIES!!!  While I was gone to the English Springer Spaniel National, my husband Tom delivered three boy puppies.  2 liver and white and one black and white.  This litter will be called "The Rat Pack", we'll have Dean, Frank and Sammy.

Feb. 28, 2009

Our recent shows have been in Indianapolis where Chip went Best of Winners for his first point and Reserve Winners Dog the following day.  We also attended a huge 4 day show in Chicago.  Where both dogs performed very well.  We didn't garner any wins or points, but I was really please that Chip had a good time and made some placements in his class.  Mea placed in her class 3 days and did very well in the ring also.  I am putting Mea up for a while and letting her coat grow a bit as well as trying to get her in better show condition.  We will then try and get that last major to finish her Championship.

We went to the English Springer Spaniel National Dog show in Arlington, TX Oct. 26-Nov. 1st.  Chip made the cut under Judge Judith Goodin in the DFWESSA regular classes.  We had a wonderful time!

Louisville, KY  Shows  (Aug. 28 - Sept. 1)

Mea captured a four point major in stiff competition under Judge Nikki Riggsbee!

Chip debuted at this cluster of shows and placed first in his class two days.  We were extremely happy with his happy go lucky attitude and performace and look forward to doing more conformation showing with him.

7/29/08  Chip is now "All Bets Are On At Daz-End, CGC"  As part of the Canine Manners Class, Chip was tested for the Canine Good Citizen program through AKC and he passed!  YEAH CHIP!!!!

Mea showed in Evansville, IN 7/18/08 under Robert Moore and was awarded WB for 2 points bringing her to a total of 6 points.  Our next shows will be at the Minnesota ESS Specialty in mid August and Mea will be shown by her breeder Sarah Kraft.

7/12/2008  Greta and Prints go BEST IN SHOW at the PetQuest Grooming Competition at Ft. Mitchell, KY!   This is now his second Best in Show and this is Greta's 3rd consecutive Best in show this year!  Congrats Greta!!!

Mea showed in Terre Haute this weekend.  We placed in the classes and she did very well.  We will be actively showing her in hopes for more points soon.  She showed wonderfully and looked fantastic.  Thanks to Carol, we have a few pictures from this last weekend.

Prints went to Atlanta, Georgia to another grooming competition.  He won 3rd place in the Sporting Open Division.  We were so hoping for another Best in Show.  He also won a Group Three in the overall Sporting Division.  As usual Greta had him looking beautiful!

Mea (Tagalong With Me At Daz-End) competed in a huge class of 32 in the Open Bitch class at the English Springer National dog show.  Although she didn't get a placement, we were thrilled that she did make the cut!

Prior to the National, Mea went Best of Breed at the Columbus KC.

Emmy was bred on Feb. 4th.  Puppies expected no later than

April 8th, 2010.  If you are interested in one of these puppies,

I'm not one to generally take a stand against organizations that are for dogs, but

time and time again, I've talked to many people about the Humane Society Of the

United States (HSUS).  They send out all kinds of advertisements asking for you

to donate money "For the sake of helping homeless animals".  I'd like to direct you

to a link that provides more information about HSUS.  Please click here

I'm all for helping animals, but if you want to help out your LOCAL Humane Society,

please donate directly to that shelter.  If you donate to the HSUS, there won't be

any help provided to any Humane Society Shelter in any state ~ period.  HSUS

is a lobbying organization only.  Actually if you go to their website, you will find that

they are pretty extreme on a variety of animals.   We've all heard of the Humane

Society, and generally have one in the county we live in. HSUS doesn't

give a dime to these local shelters or any others. There are rescue

organizations for just about any animal known to man, as well as rescue

organizations for dogs by breed.  You can search the internet to find those o

rganizations.

Please take the time to find out how some of these organizations work before you

donate your money (that you've worked hard to earn).  Make every dollar that you

donate count towards something that directly impacts those animals daily care.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

This holiday season, won't you please donate directly to one of these

rescue organizations?

Puppy Update  (I'm currently updating this)

Since I get to see Dickens quite a bit, I thought I'd

add a page for him.  Here's the link .

Robbie is now known as Mac (McCartney for short - Sir McCarney At Daz-End).

I received a letter from the Haines family and they are really happy with Mac!

He has another springer friend there named Sasha.  Here are some pictures

that they shared with me.
